| What’s inside the walls of the cup? |
| |
Inside the Aussie Ice Slushy Maker is basically a concentrated salt water solution. While it’s not meant to be consumed, it’s not harmful. In the worst case scenario, swallowing a large amount of the salt solution may give you a stomach ache. The Cup is made of food-grade silicone that is also very durable, so it can withstand a lot of squeezing |

| Does it add water to the drink? |
| |
No, Aussie Ice doesn’t add any water or any other chemicals to your drink. It simply chills the liquid so that it takes on a slushy consistency. It doesn’t change the flavor of your drink at all, just makes it have a nice, icy texture. |
| Does it add calories to the drink? |
| |
No, Aussie Ice doesn’t add any calories to the drink. It just changes the liquid to a semi-solid state. |
| Does it work with diet drinks? |
| |
Diet drinks work with Aussie Ice. Keep in mind that the slushy consistency of drinks can vary. Slushy drinks made with diet sodas can have a somewhat icier consistency than drinks made with sugar. Drinks make with dairy products, like egg nog, tend to have a thicker, less slushy consistency. We encourage you to try different drinks to see what get the slushy consistency you like best. |
| Which drinks work well with Aussie Ice? |
| |
Aussie Ice works with a wide variety of beverages - juices, sodas, energy drinks, egg nog and more. Aussie Ice can take a bit longer to slush up some drinks more than others. For example, dairy products tend to take longer to get slushy. If you are making a chocolate milk slushy, you may want to pour your chocolate milk into Aussie Ice and let it stand for 3-5 miutes before you start squeezing. You'll save yourself a lot of squeezing effort that way. With the exception of pure alcohol, virtually any drink can be made slushy using Aussie Ice. |
| Does it work with alcoholic drinks? |
| |
Alcohol has lower freezing point than water, so it’s harder to get it to freeze, and it might take some doing to get things just right. That said, we’ve had success with making Margaritas and Rum and Cokes. And one post on our Facebook page sang the praises of wine slushies. We suggest using alcohol that’s been in your freezer. Then adding some type of mixer that contains sugar to get the best results. Also, you may want to let the alcohol and mixer sit in the cup for 3-5 minutes before you start squeezing. Give it a try and let us know your method. |
| How long do Aussie Ice Slushy makers last? |
| |
Aussie Ice can be used hundreds of times. They’ve been made to very strict manufacturing standards to ensure a long life. |
